Trustees

Alan L. Bennett Alan L. Bennett has served on the Village Board since 1975. Bennett is currently Chairman of the Finance Committee, a member of the Rules Committee, and liaison to the Planning, Zoning and Development Commission. He is a member of the Northeastern Illinois Planning Commission and a former District 401 School Board member and a plan commissioner. An Elmwood Park resident since 1948, he is a graduate of Elmwood Park High School, Elmhurst College and received a master's degree from Northern Illinois University. He currently serves as an assistant to a deputy director at the Illinois Department of Employment Security.	Jeff Sargent Jeff Sargent was born and raised in Elmwood Park, growing up on Sunset Drive with two sisters and two brothers. He attended John Mills Elementary School and Elmwood Park High School graduating in 1980. He began volunteering with the Police Department as a Police Explorer, and later as a police auxiliary officer. In 1986, Jeff was hired as a full time police officer for the Triton College Police Department and was later promoted to Sergeant, the rank he currently holds today. Jeff served on the board for Elmwood Park School District #401 from 2000-2006. In 2005, Jeff was appointed to the Board of Police and Fire Commissioners.
Sam LaBarbera Sam LaBarbera was elected to the Board in April 1989, and currently serves as Chairman of the Personnel and Public Safety and Health Committees, a member of the Rules, Public Works committees, and as liaison to the Parks Commission. He is also a former member of the Economic Development Commission and Civic Foundation. A lifelong resident of the village, LaBarbera is an attorney in private practice. He is a graduate of Elmwood Park High School, Loyola University, and the Loyola School of Law.	Carmen P. Forte Carmen P. Forte was elected trustee in 1991. He currently serves as Chairman of the Public Works Committee and a member of the Commerce, Finance, and Personnel committees. He also serves as liaison to the Senior Citizen Advisory Board and the Library Board. Forte has resided in the village since 1960. He has been active with St. Vincent Ferrer School, the former South Elm Little League, and the local boy scout and girl scout programs. A graduate of Holy Cross High School and Washburne Trade School, Forte is president of Forte Plumbing Corp., a local business.
Alan T. Kaminski Alan T. Kaminski has been a trustee since 1991. He currently serves as Chairman of the Rules Committee, and a member of the Cable Television, Commerce, and Public Safety and Health committees. He serves as liaison to the Board of Education and is a former board member for School District 401. Kaminski has resided in the village since 1964. A graduate of Elmwood Park High School, DePaul University and John Marshall Law School, with a master's in law and taxation, he is an attorney in private practice.	Diane Kmiecik In 2002, Diane Kmiecik accepted to fulfill Raymond Roerhi’s position as a Village Trustee. Before a trustee, Diane served as a Trustee for the Elmwood Park Library from 1990-1995. She was appointed to the Board of Fire and Police Commission in 2000 where Diane served as commissioner until 2002. Diane, a graduate of Mother Guerin High School, received her Associates of Arts Degree from Triton College and also received her Bachelor of Arts degree in Education from Northeastern Illinois University. Diane currently teaches Junior High Social Studies at St. Cyprian School in River Grove and she has been a life long resident of the village.
