The Elmwood Park
Police Department has an Office of Community Oriented Policing
Services (C.O.P.S.). This Office provides our schools, businesses
and residents with Crime Prevention Seminars. Contact Officer Bruce

Can I obtain copies of police reports?
Copies of police reports are available 7 days after the report was
made. Copies may be obtained from the Records Division which is
located on the 2nd floor of the Police Department, 7420 W. Fullerton
Avenue. M-F 9-5pm
Copies of accident reports may also be obtained from the Records
Division.
There is a $6 charge for copies of reports.
PARKING RESTRICTIONS
Truck Parking
2nd Division vehicles (truck, tractor, trailer, camper, house
trailer, boat trailer, van) or any vehicle which is designed or used
for pulling or carrying freight or pleasure vehicle used for
commercial purposes shall not park on the streets located within the
Village of Elmwood Park.
Resident Parking
Residents of the Village of Elmwood Park may park in the areas
designated as resident parking only. The vehicle must bear a current
Village of Elmwood Park vehicle tag.
Permit Parking
Areas designated for vehicles that have obtained a parking permit
that hangs from their rear view mirror.
Street Maintenance Signs
Check the street maintenance signs on your block to determine what
day and time there are restrictions for parking.
Parking in Alley
It is unlawful for the owner/operator of any vehicle to park or
leave unattended, except for immediate delivery, on any part of the
right of way of any alley.
Village Vehicle Tag
Every car owner is required to obtain a Village vehicle sticker for
each car registered with the Secretary of State to your Elmwood Park
address. This must be done as soon as possible after moving into the
Village or after purchasing a new car.
Sidewalks
No part of the vehicle is allowed to be on the sidewalk. The
sidewalk must be clear and unobstructed of the vehicle.
Driveways
Parking within 3 feet of the driveway entrance of a public or
private drive is prohibited.
Parkways
Parking is prohibited on parkways. The parkway is considered to be
the area between the sidewalk and the street.
Abandoned Vehicles
A vehicle is considered to be abandoned if it has not been moved for
a period of 7 days. The vehicle may then be removed from the street
by authority of the Elmwood Park Police Department.
